To export your OKX history for taxes, go to Assets > Order center on the website and download two files as CSV: Trading history (trades and trading fees) and Funding history (deposits, withdrawals, P2P and transfers). Set the date range and time zone before you click Export. OKX keeps downloadable history from early 2021 onward, so older records need the files you saved at the time.
Which OKX files your tax report needs
OKX splits your activity into several histories. For taxes, the two that matter most are:
| Export | What OKX says it contains | Why you need it |
|---|---|---|
| Trading history | Balance changes from trading: filled orders, trading fees, trading-related transfers | Your trades and their fees |
| Funding history | Deposits, withdrawals, P2P buys and sells, transfers | Matching transfers to your other wallets; P2P purchases |
| Order history | Placed orders, including canceled and expired ones | Not needed for taxes (canceled orders are not trades) |
| Position history | Futures and perpetual positions | Derivatives P&L and funding fees, if you traded them |
| Account statement | Monthly or one-date balance snapshot (PDF) | Proof of holdings on a date |
Step by step: export trading history on the web
These steps follow OKX's help article on order, position and trading history (updated August 2026).
- Sign in at okx.com and go to Assets > Order center.
- Open Trading history and select Download.
- Choose the instrument (all instruments), the date range, the time zone and the accounts to include.
- Adjust report settings if you want extra columns.
- Choose CSV and select Export.
- When the file is ready, choose Save local copy, Send to email, or Copy download link. A copied link expires one hour after you copy it, so open it straight away.
Step by step: export funding history
- In Assets > Order center, open Funding history.
- Select Download, choose the date range, and select Export.
- Download the file when it is ready.
You can also export deposits or withdrawals on their own from the Deposit or Withdrawal page: select Export, pick the dates, then Download. The file includes the network, the transaction ID (TXID) and the amount, which is exactly what you need to match a withdrawal to the wallet it went to.
In the app: for trades, tap Trade, choose Spot or Futures, tap the Trade history icon, then the Download icon; under Report type select Trading history. For funding, open Assets, tap Bills, then the download icon. The app only offers the past 12 months for some reports, so use the website for a full history.
Limits to know
| Item | What OKX's help pages say |
|---|---|
| Downloadable history | From early 2021 (OKX's pages give January 28 or February 1, 2021 as the earliest date) |
| On-screen history | Only the last 90 days; older records need the download |
| Formats (web) | CSV or PDF |
| Copied download link | Expires 1 hour after copying |
| Freshness | Order history and statements are available the next day (T+1) |
| Time zone | You choose it in the export settings; statement record times use UTC |
Use the API instead
OKX has a public API, and most crypto tax software can connect to it with a read-only API key. Create the key in your OKX account settings with read permission only: no trading, no withdrawals. As always, do not combine an API import and a CSV upload for the same period, or every trade appears twice.
Check the files before you upload
- Pick one time zone and stick to it. OKX lets you choose the export time zone. Use the same one for every file, and tell your tax software which one it is.
- Both files for the same dates. Trading history without funding history leaves every deposit looking like coins from nowhere.
- Every account. If you used Earn, futures or a trading bot, make sure those accounts are selected in the export.
- TXIDs match. Each withdrawal to your own wallet should have the same TXID as a deposit in that wallet's history, for example in MetaMask.
- Closing balances. After import, each coin's balance in your software should match OKX.
What OKX does not do for you
OKX gives you records. It does not know the cost of coins you deposited from elsewhere, and how its products are taxed depends on your country. Swaps and convert trades are taxable disposals in most countries, including the US. If you are a US taxpayer, read the US crypto tax guide for how each activity is treated.
Turn the export into a tax report
Two CSV files for one year is manageable by hand if you made a few trades. Several years, futures positions, Earn rewards or transfers to wallets and other exchanges are where tax software earns its price.
FAQ
How far back does OKX trading history go?
OKX's help pages say trading and funding history can be downloaded from early 2021. On screen you only see the last 90 days, so always use the Download option for a tax report.
My OKX download link stopped working. Why?
If you used Copy download link, the link expires one hour after you copy it. Generate the export again and choose Save local copy instead.
Do I need the OKX order history?
Usually not. Order history includes canceled and expired orders that never traded. Tax software needs trading history (what actually filled) and funding history (what moved in and out).
