To export your Bitget history for taxes, use the website (Bitget says exports are not supported in the app). For transaction history, open the profile menu, go to Accounts, pick the account type (Spot, Margin, Futures, Onchain), click the transaction history icon and download. Each request covers up to 2 years, and download links expire after 7 days. For data older than 24 months, you have to request it from Bitget support.
The Bitget exports and what they are for
| Export | Where | Formats | Use for taxes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Transaction history | Accounts > (account type) > transaction history icon | CSV or Excel | Main file: every balance change per account |
| Order history | Data export page, or the order page | PDF, CSV or Excel | Trade details if your tax tool wants them |
| Account statement (asset overview) | Data export page | One-day snapshot of balances, from July 18, 2025 | |
| Account statement (ownership) | Account page | Proof of account ownership; contains personal data |
Step by step: export transaction history
These steps follow Bitget's help article "How to Export Your Account Data on Bitget?".
- Sign in at bitget.com on a computer. Bitget recommends Chrome.
- Click the profile icon at the top right, hover over Accounts and choose the account type, for example Spot.
- Click the transaction history icon on the right side of the page.
- On the transactions tab, click Download.
- Choose the time range (up to 2 years) and the trading pair (all).
- Click Generate, then download the file when it is ready.
- Repeat for every account type you used: Spot, Margin, Futures, Onchain.
Step by step: export order history
- Open the data export page.
- Choose Within 6 months or All time.
- Select the account, order type and time range, and pick CSV.
- Click Generate, then Refresh, and download the file from the export history list.
You can also export order history from the order page itself: choose the order type in the left menu, open Order history, apply filters and click Download.
Limits to know
| Item | What Bitget's help pages say |
|---|---|
| Where | Website only, not the app |
| Range per request | 2 years; longer ranges are cut to 2 years automatically |
| Transaction history exports | Up to 100 per month |
| "Within 6 months" order export | Up to 10,000 records per request |
| Download links | Expire after 7 days |
| Data older than 24 months | Not self-service: submit a support request and choose Data Export; Bitget says it replies within 2–3 business days |
Use the API instead
Bitget publishes tax endpoints in its API documentation, such as spot transaction history, with a maximum window of 366 days per request and up to 500 records per page. In practice you do not call these yourself: a tax tool that supports Bitget does it when you connect a read-only API key. Do not grant trading or withdrawal permissions, and do not upload a CSV for the same period as well.
Check the files before you upload
- One file per account type. Spot, Margin, Futures and Onchain are separate exports. Missing one means missing trades.
- No gaps between files. If you split a long history into 2-year blocks, make each start the day after the last one ended.
- Futures. Futures P&L and funding fees are in the Futures transaction history. How futures and perpetuals are taxed depends on your country and the product, so ask a tax professional if you traded them.
- Deposits. Coins sent to Bitget from another exchange or wallet need their original purchase records from there.
- Closing balances. After import, each coin's balance in your software should match Bitget.
What Bitget does not do for you
Bitget gives you records, not a tax return. Its asset overview statement is a snapshot of one day, which proves holdings but says nothing about gains.
Turn the export into a tax report
Four account types, 2-year blocks and futures P&L add up quickly. If you also use Bybit or KuCoin, importing everything into one tool is the only practical way to match transfers between them.
